Art Galler y of Hamilton Fall Fundraiser

I had 6 paintings juried into the Art Gallery of Hamilton's Fall Fundraiser and I was pleased to sell two 16x20's and one 8x10. Its great to start getting work out there, and even more of a boost to sell a few. The paintings I submitted were all Hamilton City Scenes. I was sad to see "Winter Light, King William Street" (top painting) go. I think we all have favorite paintings that we get attached to.

Well done Catherine! You really deserve the recognition and the sales you are getting. I have been so busy recently that I can barely keep up with the blogs I try to follow. I am dong an even worse job of actually posting anything myself. Maybe a New Years resolution...

Congratulations, Catherine! It is so satisfying to know someone likes your work enough to actually live with it. I am very happy for you.

Congratulations on these sales, Catherine! They are tremendous works, what fortunate new owners. I was somehow surprised that your work went through a juried process! Surely at such a level of professionalism any show should just accept what you bring in?

Hi Marie
The Art Gallery of Hamilton is the main gallery for the city and so they have several artists who want to be part of this show. There are so many paintings to "sift" through, they can pick and choose. Technically they did invite me to take part after seeing my work at the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition.

Many congratulations, Catherine for your achievement and also for the sale. Its indeed a great feeling when someone buys your work. And the painting at the top is excellent! Really hard to let it go :)

We were lucky to be the ones to buy Winter Light and just wanted you to know we also love it, it is now our favourite new painting in our home. It is currently hanging in the front hall of our Aberdeen Ave home. We are looking forward to buying more from you in the future.
