Jersey Giant, Front Street Toronto

8x10 Oil on Board
I am having a good time doing these looser smaller pieces. It is a nice break from all of the time consuming larger ones. This pub is called "Jersey Giant" on Front Street. The rain has stopped, and some light is starting to shine through the trees.

This is one of my favourites!
The tree is handled so beautifully and this whole composition seems to have so much movement and flow..really like the overall temperature -just enough red - and the flags -appropriate for next week i think!!

The red and green complimentary colors give so much life to this painting, Catherine! And what a really cozy pub!

What a great little piece! I really enjoy how you spotlighted the two walkers in the distance; it's a really great composition.

What a great piece, the colors and values are wonderful in your work. Nice article on empty easel.

Welcome aboard Daily Painters Originals!
You have captured the 'after glow' of the raining day and the red and green make a lovely contrast.
