Toronto Streetcar and Snow Storm, Queen and University

11x14 oil on canvas SOLD
I'm getting ready to do a much larger version of this scene, so I decided to paint it again a little larger, making a few changes along the way. I added more color and a bit more detail. Its always difficult to know how far to go with color and detail, and of course the only way to find out how it looks is to paint it.

Love this piece. Being from Toronto it really resonates with me as I can remember my Grampa and I riding the streetcar to the Exhibition every year at the end of the summer...good memories

I think I prefer the earlier one; it gives me the feeling of being in a snow storm, sort of an indistinct feeling of going somewhere.

Huge success...pun intended!

Really nice painting. Love the red.

I like the cool grey of this one. Makes me feel the cold. Red color pulls one out of the chill.

Transportation and precipitation, two of my favorite subject areas. Oddly I discovered your art by simply typing "ochre color" into a search box and clicking on the images results.
