Clearing the Way for Coffee

8x10 Oil on Canvas
Back to reality! Sailing is a long way off...probably another three months. It is snowing again today. I noticed several blogsters have been a little "down" due to the lack of blue skies, warm sand, and beach umbrellas. (I won't mention any names, but one artist has a cat named Eddie :) Up here in Canada, we are thankful for the small yet important things in life...coffee!

I love this Catherine! I feel I am driving in and seeing this through just defrosted windows. I love the way you painted the tire swept lot and the sign with the bits of snow highlighting the red letters!

This painting and post made me smile. Maybe its the snow or the fact that I am enjoying a tim's coffee right now. Cheers Catherine!

Catherine, you must be on a painting marathon! I haven't even had a chance to comment on you sailing painting which is too awesome for words!

You did a great job in this painting on the snow with the highlights and subtle values in the shadows. I love the action lines you created with the snow on the red plow and roof of the truck. Very cool!

Catherine, this is GREAT! You captured a scene we Canadians see ten times a day - and you did it with such a beautiful atmosphere. Lovely!

You've captured what has 'captured' us beautifully--and the truck is so symbolic of the everyday-- your signature strokes have emphasized oomph--java inspired by chance?loveitloveit!

Yes, I think we're all ready for some sunshine and blue skies. But in the meantime, you capture these lovely snow scenes. Just wonderful!

Even from way down south here I can feel myself trudging through the drfts with windblown snow swirling around. You've captured the essence of it! Think I'll go have some coffee.

I don't understand why we had a Tim Hortons in West Virginia, which is a loooonnnngggg way from Canada, but we don't have them here in MN when we are right next door...

I love this...but now I'm craving sour cream timbits something awful...
