ooo i like this Catherine--I'm intrigued by this green you are using and how it affects the temperature of both this and your previous painting...in a really good way!
Your mastery of light and shadow makes you such an expert, Catherine....going the Old Master way. I suppose you do a tonal plan first, while I just jump into the deep end (meaning the blank canvas)!
Thanks for all of your comments. Yes Ramesh, I often stand in the middle of the road to take pictures...with my husband standing guard to let me know when I must get out of the way!
I think these latest series of paintings are your best Catherine! The darks are wonderful! And yes, I get to stand in the middle of the road with a camera too..its the only way! ;-) cheers Mike

Nice! And perfect for today ; )
This is an amazing painting...like the movement and the heaviness at the same time. WOW!
So moody and juicy! Love the high contrast and glowing lights in the rain.
I thought your sunlit boats were my favorites, but now I think these moody, rainy city streets resonant even more with me.
This is a favorite! Awesome Catherine, what mood and atmosphere, nice job!
Just magnificent Catherine!
WOW,this is so good Catherine! The car's coming straight at you! Were you right in front of this car? :)

This one really resonates with me. That huge streetcar barreling right at the viewer is so awesome.
