I love the contrasts here between te feather light sailing boat and the heavy factory forms, also between light and dark, solid and loose colours, land and water!
I agree with Marie's words...the contrast is lovely! P.S. Unable to view 'previous winners in this category' and 'previous winners in all categories' on the international Artist website. The page shows an error message! Do you have the same problem?
Brrrrr, this looks very cold and windy. I am loving your sailing series, every last one of them. Makes me homesick for our old Hunter 30.
You have one on DPO called "Morning Light" that is especially interesting to me, couldn't find it on the blog. The pieces of color in the water are fantastic.

Love how you made the buildings a dark shape. It really sets off the sailboat and sky.
Very well done, you have such an ease with these!
How I envy your fine brushwork! Great toned down colors. Very evocative of 'blustery'.

I am enjoying all these water scwenes. You do them so well. Kay
Moody - I like it! The grays throughout are wonderful.
Catherine, I like how you captured the movement and lilt of the sail boat. All your blues really set the mood too.
oo - the orange/browns contrasted with the purpley blues - really striking, in a dark moody way! great composition, too! thank you!

I can just feel that cold blustery fall breeze, the heeling of the boat and the slap of the waves against the hull. Really nice colors, too!
