Early spring on a rainy day in Jamesville. I was going to refrain from too much commentary, but obviously this is impossible for me. I have decided to put down my small round brushes for awhile, in favour of larger flat brushes.

Hamilton is still quite an industrial city, with two major steel mills on the Bay. Often when it rains, the air is cleared of pollution and leaves an amazing luminous quality to the light. This scene is from Macassa Bay Yacht Club.

Oak Tree across from District School, Dundas

The massive size of this oak tree isn't obvious until standing close by. This wonderful tree has stood across from District school for many years, and has provided shade for students during track and field events or a quick escape from phys ed or school.

It is always picturesque and interesting to watch these boats sail in and out. Having no engine, they must make their way regardless of too much or lack of wind.
